Vincent Marino is a seasoned security and investigations leader with 20+ years of experience unraveling complex global cases and architecting emergency response operations. He is the founder of TAC Investigative Services, channeling a career of unique public service and skillful anticipation in ensuring thorough background investigations and conducting due diligence efforts. Enthusiastic and intentional, Vincent’s incisive connections to both people and processes have been at the core of his success and integrity, whether dismantling organized crime organizations, protecting the president, or leading highly skilled teams in crisis response.
Vincent’s career began in local law enforcement, protecting the diverse city of Coconut Creek, Florida. As a patrol officer, he also served on the police department’s honor guard and was tapped for the Special Ops team used in high-risk situations. In the wake of 9/11 and after extensive vetting and training, Vincent joined the United States Secret Service to undertake the agency’s dual mission of protection and financial investigations. First based in the Miami Field Office, he planned and executed security operations to ensure the safety of national and foreign heads of state and other visiting dignitaries. As a Special Agent, he also spurred and advanced multifaceted investigations and cultivated interagency relationships, working four years in a criminally active South Florida before assignment to New York. Vincent served a range of protective assignments including presidential debates, members of the 2008 presidential ticket, United Nations events, and multiple overseas assignments requiring protective intelligence and countersurveillance.
On the investigative side, he actively probed counterfeiting and credit card fraud cases as part of a dedicated squad, moving information with a carefully cultivated law enforcement network and leading teams in the number of search warrants and arrest warrants executed.
In 2009, Vincent shifted to a different federal agency, joining Homeland Security Investigations pursuing high-profile drug, trade, and money laundering cases. Vincent’s energy and intel matched the consistently high stakes of 100+ federal investigations as he was featured in three episodes of National Geographic’s documentary-style series “To Catch a Smuggler” after being shadowed through 3 investigations and a year-long case spotlighting the work of HSI and how a multinational team can collaborate to upend criminal activity.
Concurrent with investigative responsibilities, Vincent led the Rapid Response Team, a specialized squad of 20 agents trained to respond to catastrophic events worldwide in less than 24 hours. He steered training and managed logistics, communication, and provided protection for FEMA personnel during Hurricanes Irma, Harvey, Sandy and Maria.
Vincent holds a Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Finance from Hofstra University.
